Scenario Scoring

Learn how to score a true scenario with multi-site scoring

Written by Maddie Wolfe

Overview

Scenario Scoring allows you to understand the net effect of simultaneous location openings or closures on both existing and planned future locations. Scenario Scoring will use your existing forecasting model in SCOUT, but is a different custom report option. The tool will allow users to score up to 10 locations per scenario to identify the net contribution of simultaneous location openings or closures.

This tool is custom-built for each business, and is enabled at the user level. If you do not see the report or are interested in upgrading to the tool please contact your account manager to see if your current model is viable for the upgrade. It you need help interpreting your report, please contact your account manager.

Once you have the feature enabled, the steps below are taken to run a scenario.

You will want to add any sites for scenario scoring into a "Life Cycle". To review this method please review our locations article. Once you have your sites added it is recommended to toggle on all relevant "Store Types" and "Life Cycle" types that you will be reviewing using the locations tab.

Next, right click on any Life Cycle or Store Type that will be included in the scenario. This will automatically add the site to your scenario when you select Create Report and choose your scenario score report option from the list.

Now add up to 9 more (total of 10) locations to score in the same scenario or to be removed from the market place if you intend to close a site. As you right click and add sites you will see them added onto the list on the right hand side.

Now that you have your menu on the right complete you can review it to remove any sites that you don't wish to have in the scenario by clicking on the "x" or by right clicking on the site and selecting to remove it.

Select "Create Report" when you are ready.

Re-title the report if you wish and "Submit". You will find this report in your "Reports" tab once complete.
