Overview
Buxton does not currently provide crime data as part of its available datasets. However, if your organization obtains crime data from an external provider, Buxton can upload the data for use within SCOUT.
This allows you to incorporate externally sourced crime data into your analysis and visualize it alongside other relevant data available within the platform.
Obtain Crime Data
Buxton is not affiliated with or partnered with a specific crime data provider. However, some Buxton users have obtained crime data through Esri's CrimeRisk Data for the US by Block Group, available in Shapefile format. If you choose to obtain crime data from Esri or another external provider, your organization is responsible for procuring the appropriate dataset and any associated licensing.
Use Crime Data in SCOUT
Once your organization has obtained a compatible crime dataset, work with your Buxton representative to determine the appropriate process for making the data available within SCOUT.
After the data is uploaded, it can be used alongside other information in the platform to support your organization's location and market analysis.
