Healthcare Points of Interest

Healthcare Points of Interest allow you to visualize healthcare locations within a trade area or other defined geography. Use these layers to understand the healthcare facilities and providers located within a market and explore additional information about individual locations.

Healthcare Points of Interest are organized into four primary categories:

Each category contains additional facility or provider types that you can select and display on the map.

Healthcare Points of Interest are available within Buxton Data. Navigate to Buxton Data > Points of Interest > Healthcare to view the available healthcare categories.

Select one of the four categories to view the facility or provider types available within it.

After opening a healthcare category, select the checkbox next to the facility or provider type you want to analyze. The applicable locations are displayed as points on the SCOUT map.

To return to the four primary Healthcare Points of Interest categories, use the Back arrow at the top of the menu.

You can display multiple applicable layers when you want to compare different types of healthcare locations within the same market or geography.

If a category contains many facility or provider types, use the Search option to quickly locate a specific layer.

Enter the type of facility or provider you're interested in to narrow the available layers, then select the applicable result to display its locations on the map.

Once a Healthcare Point of Interest layer is displayed, select an individual location icon on the map to view information about that facility or provider.

The information window displays the name and address of the selected location.

When additional information is available, select More from the information window to view further details about the selected point. The additional information available may vary depending on the type of healthcare facility or provider and the data available for that location.

Healthcare Points of Interest can be used to better understand the healthcare landscape within a market or trade area. Display the relevant layers to identify nearby facilities and providers, compare different types of healthcare locations, or evaluate the presence of healthcare services within an area.
