Map Settings

Visually update your map with map settings, including live traffic and hybrid view.

Overview

To update "Map Settings", select this icon on the toolbar that can be found on the right hand side of your map. 

After clicking, a menu will display where you can select the different display options.

Map Type

  • Street: this is the default base map that provides a focus on the road network and basic areas of interest.

  • Satellite: converts the base map to reflect satellite imagery of the Earth's surface.

  • Hybrid: converts the base map to be a combination of Street networks and satellite imagery.

  • Terrain: converts the base map to display graphics better indicating fluctuations in geographic terrain.

Map Features

  • Roads: Add/Remove the road network from the map.

  • Borders: Add/Remove state and country borders from the map.

  • Labels: Add/Remove labels for Cities, Interstates, National Parks, and more, from the map.

  • Points of Interest: Remove colored shading for National Parks, Military Bases, and other miscellaneous geographies.

  • Reservations: Remove map shading for major Native American reservations.

Optional Map Layers

  • Traffic: Visualize current traffic patterns in your map view.

  • Transit: Visualize rail-based public transportation routes.

  • Biking: Visualize bike-friendly roads and bike paths within a market.

  • Rail & Transit: Visualize rail network, including both public transit lines and freight lines.

Map Style

  • Change the color theme of the base map
