The study area can be found along the toolbar on the right hand side of the map. Your study area will auto-populate with any point or geography that you have run a report on. If you need help in how to run a report please check review this article. You also have the option to manually add points or geographies to your study area.
There are multiple ways to manually add geographies and points to your study area without running a report. This is commonly used in prep to do a batch report or when selecting a report with the "comparison option".
One way to add multiple geographies to your study area is to add a drive time and simply check the box to add to your study area. The study area will populate for you to run a report.
Select either your points or geographies you'd like to run a batch or comparison report on. If you are running a comparison report, you may want to re-order your study area items so they come across in your preferred order on the report.
**Note: Please remember to choose from either the Geographies tab or the Points tab, not both. If you attempt to run a geography-based report while having a point selected from the Points tab, you will not see geography-based reports, such as a Demographic report, as an option.
You will see a message letting you know you are running multiple reports and the expected time of the report may take longer depending on how many you run at a time. We recommend if you are using this feature to try to limit your batch to 5 geographies/points at a time.
The second way to manually add any point or geography to your study area is to right click on the point or geography and select "Add to Study Area".
Once your points or geographies have been added to the study area you can simply click on the study area icon located on the toolbar to access the right hand menu as shown
below.
