Creating an image for Printing

Written by Maddie Wolfe

Overview

To initiate a print of what is currently within your map view, click the Print button, which can be found in the Toolbar on the far right-hand side of SCOUT.

From here, you will see a dialogue box giving you the options to:

  • Title your document

  • Choose a File Type (PDF or PNG)

  • Choose to display Active Items within a Legend on your map output

Upon printing, a new tab will open after a brief processing time, allowing you view the PNG/PDF. For the PNG file you can simple save or copy and paste the image. The PDF option supports the following capabilities native to the browser options including:

  • Rotating the Image

  • Downloading the PDF

  • Printing the PDF

  • Zoom In/Out

*Please keep in mind that if you click Create Preview and no action appears to occur that you may need to enable pop ups from the website. This will be apparent if you see the icon on the top right (may look different depending on your browser skin applied). All you need to do is select the icon and allow pop ups from the site.
