Depending on the type of report you're creating and the features available to your account, you may have access to Buxton Templates, Team Templates, and Healthcare Templates.

Team Templates

Team Templates allow your organization to create reusable report configurations that can be accessed by other users on your account. They are useful when multiple users or departments need to create reports using a consistent set of variables and report structure.

You can create a Team Template when saving a configurable report or convert an existing template into a Team Template.

Convert an Existing Template to a Team Template

You can also change an existing template's permissions from the SCOUT Reports screen.

Navigate to the SCOUT Reports screen and select Manage Templates in the upper-right corner. Locate the template you want to share, select the vertical ellipsis next to the template, and then select Edit Name and Permissions.

Change the template level to Team to make it available to other applicable users within your account.

Important: To convert an existing template to a Team Template, the Admin user must be the original creator of the template.

Healthcare Templates

Healthcare Templates provide predefined report structures for analyzing healthcare demand, physician activity, inpatient demand, and insurance coverage.

Depending on the healthcare data and functionality available to your account, template options may include:

  • Procedures Demand by Physician Specialty

  • Procedures Demand by Physician Setting

  • Visits Demand by Physician Specialty

  • Visits Demand by Physician Setting

  • Inpatient Demand by MDC and DRG Cases

  • Covered Lives by Insurance Type

These templates provide a starting point for healthcare-specific analysis and allow you to focus your report on the healthcare metrics most relevant to your organization.

Choosing a Template

The appropriate template depends on the type of analysis you're performing. Use a Buxton Template when you want to start with one of Buxton's standard report structures. Use a Team Template when your organization has created a shared configuration for a recurring or standardized reporting workflow. Use a Healthcare Template when you're performing healthcare-specific analysis using the applicable healthcare data available to your account.
