You are able to explore both locations and geographies to gain further insight into each.
Explore a Location
Commonly used with your locations or pushpins, you can explore these points to see additional data tied to the sites. Right click on a site and select the explore option to bring up the right-hand menu.
Summary
The summary tab will display a quick google street image as well as some basic information about the site.
Google street view
Address information and location number
Buxton determined drive time (typically 75% capture rate of customers)
Success metric chart (Actual Sales/Visits/Ect. typically captured as a 12 month rolling volume)
Customer count (typically captured as a 12 month rolling count)
Customer word cloud (based on the top segments)
Customer segmentation breakout (top 5 segments based on raw count)
Other Data
The other data tab will quickly show any custom data alphabetically as an additional place to store data tied to a site
Nearby
The Nearby Tab will pull from google some quick information about other locations in the nearby area.
Life Cycle
If this site was added manually to SCOUT via a potential (or life cycle) site, this section will highlight any manual, user based, changes to see how this site became a fully running open site.
Files
On the final tab, you are able to upload any additional files to the site. This is a great place to put in photos or other documentation for the site.
Explore a Geography
Explore was built out to be a quick directional tool. This data is pulled from the block group level and aggregates the data up to information you see on the right pane menu. If you are not getting any results, it is because you likely are not hitting the centroid of a block group with your geography. We would recommend increasing the size of your geography or running a report. To get more accurate answers, always ensure you run a report on the geography as the reports are pulled at the more granular "mail-able block" (street level).
You can explore a geography (drive times, rings, custom territories, or any standard Buxton geography) on the map. Right click within the shaded region and select the explore option to bring up the right-hand menu.
Demographics
The first tab will give you some quick demographic data to compare to other geographies.
Population: Variables include population, population growth (measured as a percentage for growth for the following 5 year projections), households, daytime population, total families, and density (measured as population by square mile)
