The Configurable Report allows you to control which fields are displayed and how they are presented, enabling you to create more customized versions of the Demographics, Profiles, Vehicle Registration , Media, and Business reports you’re familiar with in SCOUT.

How to Use this Report

You’ll first need to start with a geography layer. This can include a drive time or mile ring, a boundary layer, the ruler tool, or a territory.

To get started, right-click and select "Add Drive Time/Ring."

Once the drive time or ring is created, right-click within the geography you created and select "Create Report."

A window will appear on the right side of your screen, allowing you to select the type of report you’d like to run. For this article, we’ll select the "Configurable Report."

Next, you’ll have the option to rename the report. If you're running the report across multiple geographies, you can also rename or reorder them as needed. Once you're satisfied with your changes, select "Continue."

On the second page, you can choose the report output by selecting Separate, Compare, or Combine. Note: “Separate Report” is selected by default.

On the third page, you can choose to Start With An Empty Report, My Template, or Customize the report to fit your needs.

If you select the "Customize" option, you'll be able to add the data fields of your choice by checking the box next to each field. You can also click the arrow icon to view the subcategories within each data field. Once you're finished, click "Run Report."

Once the report is complete, navigate to the report section and select "View Report."

If you selected the "Custom" report, your data will already be loaded. However, if you chose "Start with an Empty Report," you’ll need to add your data manually. To do this, select "Customize" in the top right corner.

From there, you can choose the necessary data fields. You can also click the "arrow" icon to view the subcategories. Once you're done, click "Update."
